I’ve been working on getting rid of my stash completely. This is my primary goal for 2019 is to eliminate the stash. See my January 24th post on my first efforts. Ive finished my donations to the Scrap Exchange. Now the knitting begins! I’ve decided to knit up my remaining stash. There will probably be a lot of cowls and scarfs in my future. I’m finding that I do like wearing cowls. I think it will be more practical to purchase yarn when I’m ready to make a specific item so that I have enough yarn for the project. I think my real problem is that I can’t go to a yarn store without buying at least one or two skeins of yarn.
My current WIP is inspired by the Duotone Cowl by Orange Flower Yarn. In reading the directions I thought of an easier way to knit the cowl. I am using the provisional cast-on though. The piece will be knitted and I’ll connect the ends together. The pattern calls for a provisional cast-on knitted in the round. I found two yarns in my stash that were the same weight and similar in content.
